100 DAY 100 HOUR CHALLENGE: Day 1 Monday August 12th 2013

Strength BuIilder and Red Hot Core 52 minutes Today is the first day of my NEW challenge. I said in my previous post that I will complete 100 hours of DDP Yoga in 100 days. Monday thru Friday starting this week for the next 20 weeks. Today I decided to do Strength Builder, but after seeing that it was only a 38 minute workout, I decided to add Red Hot Core into the Mix. The two combined brought me to a total of 52 minutes. I know that it's not 1 full hour, but damn kids, it sure is close enough for the first day. After having knee surgery a little over a month ago, I am now able to complete every move without modification, except the Can Opener on my right leg. For some reason that leg doesn't want to allow my hip to open up fully just yet. Within time I am positive that I will be doing a full Can Opener on that side of my body. My heart rate was in my fat burning zone pretty much throughout the entire workout, except when I would go into push ups of course. That always seems to spike my heart rate up for a few seconds. It's all in a days work my friends. As far as my diet goes, today wasn't the greatest it should be, but that will change starting tomorrow morning. Before I started my workout tonight, I went to the market and picked up all the great and healthy foods for my nutrition for the entire week. I really love eating spinach and making some yummy smoothies to take with me to work. By doing that, I know I am taking in enough of my nutrients during the day. And since my job consists of literally sitting at a desk all day, I really try to watch what's going in. It is just about 10:30 pm and I want to cut this short. I know I will have so much to type about in the next 5 months. Today is the beginning of a newly updated Steve! Thanks to Dallas and DDP Yoga and the entire group at Team DDP yoga, I have finally found the program that works for me. I do KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt that this program is sustainable, safe, and effective, THOSE ARE THE THREE MAIN INGREDIENTS IN A GREAT WORKOUT PROGRAM.... Until tomorrow, Be well and God Bless, -STEVE
